Dioko Motorcycle Ministry is an association of Christians, most of whom ride
motorcycles. Our purpose is to be obedient to the Lord Jesus Christ by
ministering to and serving others.
Dioko in the Greek language means "press on" and is based on Paul's comments to
the Philippians,
"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already
been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus
took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of
it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is
ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me
heavenward in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:12-14)
Paul said in Galatians 5:13-14, "You, my brothers, were
called to be free. But do not use your freedom to serve the sinful nature;
rather, serve one another in love. The entire law can be summed up in a single
command; 'Love your neighbor as yourself. "
This is a ministry of the First Baptist Church of West Monroe and is open to
other denominations that may want to join the ministry team. The ministry provides Christians who love the Lord
Jesus Christ, and who ride motorcycles, a way to use their motorcycle(s) to glorify Christ.
Activities include, but are not limited to, local mission trips, regional
mission trips, fellowships, meetings, fun runs, and rides to regional ministry
events. We are committed to sharing the good news with the lost, the disciple's
teaching, fellowship, prayer, and service.
